Presenting the Power 20 Real Estate Law list:
We are excited to continue to build on our Power List program with our second list of 2023: our Power 20 Real Estate Law list.
This list includes lawyers who have spent much of their career working in real estate law.
The people on this list help clients — both individuals and companies — navigate complex transaction processes to help fulfill their personal dreams or organizational goals. Their job has been made even more difficult over the past three years. The COVID-19 pandemic, rising inflation and interest rates, and uncertain economic conditions have made the real estate industry even more difficult to navigate. These attorneys continued to serve their clients admirably while navigating new ways of doing business thanks to restrictions that limited or halted face-to-face meetings.
As with previous lists, the Power 20 Real Estate Law list is presented in alphabetical order, click here to see the full list.
Lacy Katzen is honored to have Daniel S. Bryson make the list; read more below.
Partner, Real Estate Department Chair, Lacy Katzen LLP
Years in current role: 16
What has been your biggest success over the past year?
Working together with the Lacy Katzen team, I have enjoyed the challenges related to the ever-changing real estate market to continue to meet our clients’ needs.
What advice would you give someone just starting out in real estate law?
Real Estate law provides an excellent framework for understanding the transactional side of the legal practice. It also provides a great opportunity to build meaningful relationships with your clients.
If you could practice one area of law that you haven’t practiced in your career, what would it be and why?
I have had the opportunity to volunteer for some of the amazing nonprofit organizations in our community. If I ever changed my focus, I would love the opportunity to serve any of them in a more formal way.
What do you enjoy most about practicing law in the Rochester area?
Since the beginning of my career the members of the legal community have always treated each other in a professional and respectful manner. I am honored to be a part of that community.
