This month is the 50th anniversary of David MacKnight’s admission to the New York State Bar. To celebrate fifty years in the practice of law is significant for any lawyer who reaches that milestone, but it is particularly so for David.
David graduated from the University of Chicago law school which is generally regarded as among the very best law schools in the country. David often tells us that it is not among the best, it is the best! Following his graduation, he served in the United States Air Force as a Captain prosecuting and defending cases in the military courts.
In 1976, Herb Lacy and Leon Katzen had the good sense to hire David to serve our clients at Lacy Katzen. David is widely respected across the state for his expertise in bankruptcy law, commercial law, creditors rights, banking, collections, litigation, and procedure. He has an endless curiosity and creativity in his approach to the practice of law. David has given his colleagues invaluable help with challenging medical cases.
Our firm and our clients have had the great benefit of David’s legal talent for forty-six years. It has been a privilege and pleasure to practice law with Dave. Congratulations to David MacKnight!
