Lacy Katzen is a medium size law firm serving clients with a broad range of Legal needs. We work in practice groups drawing on experience from attorneys on the transactional and litigation side of our practice. We seek to add an experienced Litigation Attorney to our firm to work directly with clients to manage personal injury cases from beginning to end. Case types include medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, medical and products liability, motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall incidents, etc. This experienced position drafts pleadings, conducts discovery, including depositions, engages in motion practice, conducts research, and produces writings necessary to prosecute claims. Advises clients, develops litigation strategies, gathers evidence to support claims, prepares legal documents, advocates for clients in court and at mediation, and negotiates with insurance carrier and/or defense counsel. Attorney provides updates and regularly consults with Supervising Attorneys as commensurate with experience. We would like to talk with candidates who hold five (5) years of litigation or related experience and who are licensed to practice law in New York State.
Salary range: $100,000 – $125,000, commensurate with experience
We seek candidates who have strong analytical and problem solving skills, facility with numbers, excellent research, writing and verbal communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines and a commitment to client service. We are looking for a self-starter who is highly motivated, disciplined and flexible.

Ideal candidates will have experience preparing pleadings and written discovery, researching and briefing complex issues, presenting oral argument, taking and defending depositions, and possesses prior trial, mediation and arbitration experience. Attorney provides updates and regularly consults with Supervising Attorneys as commensurate with experience. We would like to talk with candidates who hold five (5) years of five years of litigation or related experience and who are licensed to practice law in New York State.
